The Fair is located between 17th and 21st streets and Liberty and Chew streets in Allentown. Click here to get directions to the Fair. What are the hours of the Fair? TBA How much does it cost to get into the Fair? TBA What does admission into the Fair include? All entertainment is included with Fair admission EXCEPT rides and games on the Powers Great American Midway and shows in the Grandstand. Are there advance discounted Fair admission tickets available Yes, Advance Fair Admission Tickets may be purchased at the Fair Box Office for only $4 before September 2. These tickets may still be purchased at the Box Office on FREE Preview Night September 1. The Advance tickets may be used anytime regular Fair admission is charged at the entrance gates. Is there parking available on site Parking is available on site through Tunnel Gate 7 off of Liberty Street. Cost is $7 per vehicle during the Allentown Fair. Is there bus service? Tickets can be purchased at the Fair Box Office and through Ticketmaster online, Ticketmaster phone lines, and at Ticketmaster outlets. Do I have to pay a service charge when purchasing concert Grandstand tickets? There are no service charges on tickets purchased in person at the Fair Box Office. The standard Ticketmaster service charges apply when purchasing tickets through Ticketmaster. Can I print tickets at home? The TicketFast™ option for ticket delivery is available for on line purchases of show tickets and advance tickets for ride wristbands. This enables you to print your tickets at home How is the Grandstand show venue set-up? The Grandstand is an outdoor venue with 20 rows of seats on an open-air Track (floor) in front of the stage and 27 rows of tiered-seats undercover in a Grandstand located 100 feet back from the stage. The Grandstand is the most visible building on the Fairgrounds with its prominent cupola being the highest edifice in the Fair’s skyline. The entrance is off of the carnival midway on the east end of the building. It is to the left of the Fair Box Office that is easily located beneath the show marquee and to the left of the Ritz Barbecue restaurant. Where does the line form for early entry onto the Track? If you have a ticket for the Track and wish to enter right when doors open, usually 1 ½ hour before show time, you may go to the east end of the race track leading into the concert venue. Access to this is from the infield parking lot or from the entrance to the parking lot that is located on 4th Avenue as noted on the fairgrounds map distributed at all fair entrances. Please note, this entrance closes after the initial line is serviced, requiring all other concertgoers to enter at the venue main entrance at the east end of the Grandstand building. View Map Is alcohol served inside the concert venue? There is no alcohol served inside the concert venue. Alcohol is served to persons 21 and over inside the Maingate Night Club and Party Patio (Bier Garten) located near Gate 8 inside the fairgrounds. Can I bring a camera or video recorder to the concerts? There are no recording devices allowed inside the concert venue. Still cameras are allowed only by the approval of the artist performing. To inquire if cameras are allowed for a specific concert, you must call 610-435-SHOW on the day of the show. Is a concert cancelled or rescheduled if it is raining? All concerts and events are held rain or shine! Does my child need a ticket to the concerts? A child under the age of two does not need a ticket if he or she sits on the parent’s lap. May I pick up my tickets at the Box Office? Tickets can be picked at the Will Call Booth if that option is selected while purchasing tickets online through Ticketmaster ONLY. Tickets can be picked up with photo ID and confirmation number three hours before show time. Does my concert ticket include admission to the fair? All concert tickets purchased in advance of the show date include admission into the Fair. How do I enter items for judging and blue ribbons into the Fair? The Premium Book that details the rules and regulations for entering and to download registration forms. Is there an ATM on the grounds? The St. Lukes Health Star Van offers first aid services and a diaper station. There is also a first aid station located near Gate 2 on the fairgrounds. Is re-admission to the fairgrounds allowed? Upon leaving the fairgrounds, no re-admission is allowed. Is tailgating allowed on the grounds? Tailgating is not allowed. Where would I find general information during the fair? There are two InFAIRmation booths located on the fairgrounds – one is on the east end of the grounds and the other is on the west side of the grounds. Click here for a map that shows the location of the Lost & Found. Are there opportunities for temporary employment at The Great Allentown Fair? The Fair hires temporary help for several positions including ticket cashiers, ticket takers, display attendants as well as agricultural and livestock positions. The Fair does not hire workers for the carnival or the concession stands. The Fair’s employment office is located in a trailer on the fairgrounds at Gate 2 at Chew and St. Cloud Streets. The office opens one week prior to the first day of the Fair. Applicants must be 18 or older and must have two forms of valid identification preferably a government issued photo ID and a social security card. |
